Phil Handy is the Assistant Coach with the Toronto Raptors (@raptors), and former Director of Player Development and Assistant Coach with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Founder of 94 Feet of Game. Phil played collegiately at the University of Hawaii Manoa and then went on to play professional basketball in the NBA, (Golden State Warriors, Portland Trailblazers) and a European career that included teams in Israel, Italy, France, England, Germany and Australia. In addition to coaching professionally in the NBA, Phil is one of the premier trainers on the West Coast working with NBA, European, College, and Elite High School basketball players on many facets of the game.

In this video, Coach Phil Handy talks about being direct and clear with parents of players that there must be boundaries between the coach and parent to make an effective relationship. His expectations from parents is to bring your child on time to practices and games and to make sure your child wants to be there instead of the parent wanting their child to be there.
