Coaches Need To Communicate With Each Player About Their Role On The Team

Brad Frost is the Head Coach for the University of Minnesota Women's Ice Hockey (@GopherWHockey) team. The Bethel University graduate has guided the Gophers to four NCAA national championships, six NCAA Frozen Four appearances, five WCHA regular season titles and three WCHA Final Face-Off championships. Frost concluded the 2015-16 season with a career record of 293-45-22 (.844) and has not had a team finish lower than second in the WCHA.

Frost says that coaches need to make sure every player understands what role they play on the team. The athletes need to be told what their responsibilities are and why they are important to the success of the team. Once they understand their role, they can begin to work hard at making sure they execute their duties as best they can. This allows players to enjoy what they are doing even if their position is not a primary position.
