Gregor Townsend on How To Build Better Relationships

Gregor Townsend (@gregortownsend) is the men's head coach for the Scotland national rugby team and a former player. He was a five time winner of the Centenary Quaich and a winner and a two time runner up of the Six Nations Championship. As head coach of the Scotland national rugby team, his accolades include finishing third at the Six Nations Championship and winning both the Calcutta Cup and the Auld Alliance Trophy all in 2018.

Gregor Townsend and his faculty met for four hours one day trying to figure out the best way for athletes to build better relationships with each other. Some of the ideas they brainstormed were purposefully configuring team rooms and dinner table seatings and giving players more opportunities to play cards and other games with each other. They also have players share personal stories before each team meeting so that players can know more about each other.
