An Uncut, Inside Look At Record-Setting Coach Steve Kerr

Steve Kerr (@SteveKerr) set an NBA record for most wins by a 1st-time NBA coach as the Head Coach of the Golden State Warriors in 2015. He continues his role as the Warriors coach and is a PCA National Advisory Board Member. Kerr is a five-time NBA champion and former General Manager of the Phoenix Suns. He entered the NBA as a second-round selection by the Suns (50th overall) in 1988. He played for six teams during his 15-year tenure (Phoenix, Cleveland, Orlando, Chicago, San Antonio and Portland). He was a part of NBA championship teams in Chicago in 1996, 1997 and 1998, and won two more rings with the Spurs in 1999 and 2003.

This raw, uncut and full-length video includes a brief introduction of Positive Coaching Alliance's approach to coaching and mentorship, which Kerr explains fits his relationship-based coaching style that he learned from mentors Greg Popovich and Phil Jackson (@PhilJackson11).

Kerr discusses everything from coaching team culture and chemistry, valuing players input, and respecting other coaches. Kerr also includes several valuable sports parenting tips, learned from personal experience, that he believes may be helpful for other sports parents that are dealing with negative coaching experiences.
