How Assistant Coaches Can Best Contribute To Team Success

Jason Sacks (@jrsacks22), the former Executive Director for PCA Chicago, is now PCA's Director of Business Development. After coaching at the collegiate level, he turned his attention to High School Basketball and is now the Assistant Coach at Perspectives (MSA) Charter High School in Chicago.

In this clip, Sacks describes how an assistant coach can add value to a coaching staff. Like any organization operates, each coaching staff member adds value based on his or her strengths and is held accountable for those contributions. When assistants are allowed to lead activities (drills, chalk talks, warm-ups, etc.) it allows them to grow as coaches, and is allows players to see a new perspective.
