Focus On Attitude And Effort Even When The Game Isn't Going Your Way

Brad Frost is the Head Coach for the University of Minnesota Women's Ice Hockey (@GopherWHockey) team. The Bethel University graduate has guided the Gophers to four NCAA national championships, six NCAA Frozen Four appearances, five WCHA regular season titles and three WCHA Final Face-Off championships. Frost concluded the 2015-16 season with a career record of 293-45-22 (.844) and has not had a team finish lower than second in the WCHA.

Frost talks about how important it is for players to focus on what they can control. That means their attitude and their effort. Sometimes things just do not go a team's way, but that is not an excuse to have a negative attitude or stop trying completely. Even when the game is not going well, athletes need to be taught how to stay positive and give their best effort no matter what the score may be.
