Kevin Cash: Effort Is The Perfect Response To Unexpected Setbacks

Kevin Cash is a former American professional baseball catcher and coach. He is currently the manager of the Tampa Bay Rays (@Rays Baseball) of Major League Baseball (MLB). During his playing career, Cash played in MLB for the Toronto Blue Jays, Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Houston Astros, and Texas Rangers.

Cash refers to a time when he was cut from a winter-ball team in high school. Instead of giving up, he got to work and put in time and effort in order to improve. The next try-out in spring, he made the team. This was a moment that taught him to appreciate the hard work that is necessary in order to be successful. The best way to respond to adversity is to put in effort and hard work in order to overcome that obstacle.
