PCA National Advisory Board Member Mary Fry (@MaryFry10) is a professor in the Department of Health, Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Kansas. She also is the Director of the KU Sport and Exercise Psychology Lab and oversees the graduate program in the area.
Fry says that the responsibility towards creating a caring climate does not rest solely on the coach. It requires a complete buy-in from the players as well. They need to understand that how they treat each other is crucial to creating the right culture and climate for the team.
