Gold Medal Gymnast Bart Conner: Moving Past "Failure" To Success

This 1-on-1 interview features Bart Conner (@bartconner), Olympic Gymnastics Gold Medalist and PCA National Advisory Board Member. Conner participated in the 1976 and 1984 Olympics, winning two Gold medals in 1984. He won NCAA, national and world championships. Conner attended the University of Oklahoma, where he earned 14 NCAA All-America honors. He has been inducted into the US Olympic, USA Gymnastics, and International Gymnastics Halls of Fame and currently owns and operates the Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy, with his wife, Nadia Comaneci (@nadiacomaneci10), who also is an Olympic Gymnastics Gold Medalist and PCA National Advisory Board Member.

Jim Thompson (@JimThompson18), PCA Founder, talks to Conner about being one of the first American gymnasts to have great success internationally. Conner shares how he came to love the process of improvement after persevering through failures, using visualization and self-talk. He also talks about what it’s like to coach his child and how his son deals with having two parents with 11 Olympic medals between them!
