How Coaches Can Positively Influence the Recruiting Process

FieldLevel and the National High School Baseball Coaches Association (NHSBCA) present a coach panel to help educate high school level coaches on how they can be a positive force in their athletes’ recruitment.

This panel features the following people:

Brenton Sullivan (San Diego, CA): Founder and CEO of FieldLevel. Former D1 baseball player at USC.

Tim Saunders (Dublin, OH): Head coach at Dublin Coffman High School (40th year coaching). Executive Director of NHSBCA.

Dave Coggin (Claremont CA): Founder/ and owner of PFA Baseball. Former Major League ball player who spent 13 years with the Phillies.

Joe Carbone (Dublin, OH): Coached at Ohio University, Toledo, Ohio State and others (over 600 victories). Collegiate player at Ohio University. Conduction into the ABCA Hall of Fame (Dallas).

Bob Morgan (Bloomington IN): Coached college baseball for 20 years (over 1000 victories) at The College of Wooster, Kent State University and Indiana University - Bloomington.

Topics that are covered: When should an athlete begin thinking about their college recruitment? What role should an athlete’s coach play in their recruitment? What are things that athlete’s coaches do that help them during their recruitment?
