Trent Redden: You Have To Be The Best Version Of Yourself To Be Successful
Trent Redden was the Senior Vice President of Basketball Operations for the Cleveland Cavaliers until 2017. In his role, he worked closely with Cavaliers General Manager David Griffin on basketball and front office matters, including scouting and player personnel areas. He also managed the college draft process, which included the scouting all of the top draft prospects nationally.
Redden talks about how important being yourself is—if you try to be someone else, you won’t be able to be successful and why being the best version of yourself is important. Redden also talks about the significance of proper communication, specifically through coaching. Each player needs to be reached and communicated to in a different manner—there isn’t a single formula for this, and coaches must keep that in mind when communicating.
