Coach Kerr explains that during the years that his kid's played high school sports they had to make time for both their academic work and their athletics. He would talk with each of his kid's on how they could work most efficiently to finish their school work. Then, the key to his kid's achieving academic success was through a daily planner. On the daily planner, his kids would map out how they were going to spend each hour on homework until bedtime.
