Stanford University Lacrosse Coach Amy Bokker's Approach To Two-A-Days

Amy Bokker (@AmyBokker) is the head coach for the Women’s Lacrosse team at Stanford University. Since joining the Cardinal in 2009, Bokker has established Stanford as the West’s premier program, consistently ranked among the country’s Top 25. She also serves as an Assistant Coach for the U.S. Women’s National Lacrosse Team.

In this clip you’ll hear Bokker’s philosophy on two-a-days. At the collegiate level, she fits in two practices a day in order to prepare athletes for the season. She has a weight lifting or conditioning session in the morning, then practice in the afternoon. This allows students to focus on academics during the day, and have a focused practice in the afternoon after plenty of rest time. She also tapers this regimen as the season progresses to keep her players healthy and at peak performance.
