Slow Down And "Get Present" With Your Players

Here, Eve explains that the way she gets to know her players is by listening to them. Sometimes, she and her players have to stop all that is going on in their minds and "get present."
Regardless of what may be happening in the coach's personal life, and what may be next on the practice plan, sometimes a coach just has to recognize from a look in a player's eyes that it's time to stop and address matters that may be troubling the athlete. "Sometimes they need you, and they're not necessarily going to speak up and say, 'I need you.'"
