Ursula Doll, Girls' Basketball Coach at Casa Grande Union High School (Casa Grande, AZ), says everything that happens in basketball can be related back to other aspects of life. For example, learning teamwork through sports directly applies to other areas where teamwork is important, such as family or contributing to a community.

In this video, Doll urges young women not to be demure, but to find their voices and stand out...another lesson they can learn from basketball and apply elsewhere in their lives. Above all, basketball (and other sports) can help keep athletes mindful that they are part of something bigger than just themselves.
