The PGA In Golf: Post-Game Analysis

Matt Hayden (@MattHayden_) presently works as PCA's Business Development Manager for Chapter Expansion. Prior to PCA, Matt primarily worked in baseball. While earning his degree in Sport Management at Kennesaw State University, he was a member of the Atlanta Braves promotion team. Upon graduation, he took an internship with the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. He also worked in the sales and marketing departments for Minor League Baseball's Lakewood BlueClaws and the Kane County Cougars.

The "Post-Game Analysis" that Hayden talks about is something everyone does internally after a game. It is important for parents to let the coaches and athletes lead those conversations. If your child is leading the conversation, it is alright to engage in a supportive way. Hayden recommends open-ended questions and always encourages parents to say, "I just love watching you play." Parents should not analyze and criticize their children after a game, especially when they are already doing it to themselves.
