Peter Varellas, Olympic Water Polo Player, As A Triple-Impact Competitor

Peter Varellas is a two-time U.S. Olympic Water Polo Team Member and 2008 Beijing Silver Medalist. He played college water polo at Stanford University, where he was an All-America and National Champion.

In this short clip, Varellas talks about how PCA’s Triple-Impact Competitor® model applies to him. He focuses on improving himself, his teammates, and the sport. The last component is especially important to him. As an elite athlete in a sport that is relatively unfamiliar to most U.S. sports fans, he feels responsible for growing water polo's popularity. This model has helped him succeed, and most any athlete can grow, improve and benefit from becoming a Triple-Impact Competitor.
