Lanny Smith is the Founder and CEO of Active Faith Sports. Prior to founding his own company, Lanny graduated from the University of Houston with a Kinesiology degree, and went on to play in the NBA Development League, NBA Summer League with the Houston Rockets, and was the last cut of the Sacramento Kings in 2009.
Lanny Smith encourages coaches to see their athletes as people first. He suggests that seeing athletes mainly as a way to win a game creates a disconnect between players and coaches and makes it harder to understand the prejudices they face.
