How To Stay Safe, Injury-Free Around Sports

Here, Dr. Anne Moore and Dr. Heather Bergeson emphasize the need for pre-season check-ups to ensure athletes' fitness for their sports. Other key areas include following the rules of the sport, such as no spearing in football; maintaining a general awareness of surroundings, so that, for example, you do not collide with a gymnast swinging on a bar; and, of course, using proper safety equipment, such as helmets and mouthguards.
