Kevin G. Shea, MD is an orthopaedic surgeon at Stanford University Medical Center and the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital. Dr. Shea has authored more than 140 scientific papers and book chapters and is part of the PCA Leadership Council.

Dr. Kevin Shea shares the different types of graft options that can be used to reconstruct the ACL. With the four options discussed, Dr. Shea will go through the operation process along with each of its advantages and disadvantages. Overall, the athlete and the surgeon should discuss each option carefully to choose the best one that meets their needs.
