Dan James (@Dgjames70) worked for the United States Tennis Association where he led the wheelchair tennis program coaching at 5 Paralympics. He played college tennis at Gustavus Adolphus College and began his coaching career under his head Coach Steve Wilkinson at Tennis and Life Camps. Dan James was formerly PCA-Seattle Executive Director.

In this video, James talks about the right kind of failing and how people constantly try to protect others from failure especially if they have a physical disability. He believes that failure is necessary to succeed. James reminisces about his trip to Tanzania, introducing kids to wheelchair tennis. One player stood out to him because she was wary to try but she did and she failed which James described as “beautiful failure.”
