Watch youth sport coaches from around the country put the principles from Play Positive and Positive Coaching Alliance to work with their athletes.

Here you’ll see a youth soccer coach talk about the differences between effort goals, such as hustling and passing, rather than outcome goals, such as winning on the scoreboard. She distinguishes between what can be controlled and what can’t be, like working hard vs. winning. She also teaches them that when you can control something, you have the opportunity to improve your game. See how you can use this coach’s lead to talk to your players about how they can approach goal setting.

Positive Coaching Alliance is proud to have worked with Liberty Mutual Insurance to create this video and other powerful resources.
