Nigel Burton (@CoachNBurton) is a football commentator for the Pac-12 Network, host of Rip City Mornings with Dan & NIgel, and the former head coach for the Portland State Vikings college football team from 2010-2014. Burton's first coaching job was as a defensive assistant for South Florida in 2000. From 2001 to 2002, he coached defensive backs at Portland State, and then from 2003 to 2007, coached the secondary at Oregon State.

In this video, Burton says that the most important thing in sport is to have fun. In his role as a sports parent, seeing his kids have fun is the biggest joy of all. By emphasizing the experience that sports bring rather than the ending score, it makes being a young athlete easier because it puts less pressure on them to please others so they can play for the sake of play.
