Balancing your diet is an important part of fueling your body for success in sports. Cheryl Zonkowski, Director of Sports Nutrition for the University of Florida Gators, discusses the importance of balanced meals.

She often must convince athletes to pursue that balance, even though many of them simply prefer to overload on carbohydrates or fat or protein. Her trick is to remind them how a well-rounded diet aids athletic performance.
