Working With Your Players To Identify Mistakes
Watch youth sport coaches from around the country put the principles from Play Positive and Positive Coaching Alliance to work with their athletes.
When players make mistakes, one coaching method for correction is to ask, rather than tell. This allows the athletes themselves to identify first where they believe the mistake was made and helps them improve their own performance. Here you’ll see a wrestling coach directly ask the athlete where he thought improvements could be made, and then encourage him to make those changes immediately following the conversation.
Positive Coaching Alliance is proud to have worked with Liberty Mutual Insurance to create this video and other powerful resources.
