Kevin G. Shea, MD is an orthopaedic surgeon at Stanford University Medical Center and the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital. Dr. Shea has authored more than 140 scientific papers and book chapters and is part of the PCA Leadership Council.

Dr. Kevin Shea provides his insight on who may need ACL reconstruction vs. those who don’t. With an ACL tear, the knee becomes less stable, so depending on the patient's lifestyle, ACL reconstruction may or may not be necessary.
