Stephen Curry: Play Multiple Sports To Get Outside Your Comfort Zone
Stephen Curry is a four-time NBA champion, nine-time NBA All-Star and current player on the Golden State Warriors. While being a standout student-athlete at Davidson, he led his team to two NCAA March Madness bids, making it to the Elite 8 during his sophomore campaign.
Curry talks about the opportunity that playing multiple sports can give to a young athlete and the impact it can have on character building. He appreciates the lessons he learned through the sports he was not as talented in and feels those moments were the ones that helped shape him into the athlete he is today. By allowing himself to get outside of his comfort zone in his "off" sports, he learned how to deal with failure, make mistakes, and how to quickly recover. Each sport taught him something new about himself which helped shape him into a more well-rounded player and person.
