After a career as a Major League Soccer player, Lalas has served as an executive for the San Jose Earthquakes, New York Red Bulls, and Los Angeles Galaxy. In 2006 he was elected into the National Soccer Hall of Fame. He currently works in sports mediaand first started as an analyst for ESPN and ABC Sports before transitioning to FOX Sports.
Over the course of his career, Lalas has had a lot of teammates who have made him better throughout the course of his life. Several of his teammates helped him improve simply through competition, others by engaging and mentoring on and off the field, but most importantly, sports allowed him to build lifelong friendships early on that still exist today. Those friendships wouldn't exist if it were not for the shared experience of sports that still lingers today.
