Oliver Luck On What Matters Most For Him As A Sports Parent

Oliver Luck is the NCAA's Executive Vice President of Regulatory Affairs. Prior to this position, Luck was the Athletic Director at West Virginia University. He was an NFL quarterback and is the father of Indianapolis Colts’ quarterback, Andrew Luck.

A product of PCA's National Partnership with USA Football, this video emphasizes the values Oliver Luck brought (and brings!) to his role as a sports parent. As his kids advanced through youth sports, he hoped for coaches who could teach the fundamentals of their sport and provide a fun, enjoyable experience.

He states that coaches are a crucial factor in ensuring young athletes enjoy their sport and have a positive experience during the season. Luck adds that the methods of communication utilized by coaches and parents during youth sports is a determining factor in the athlete's enjoyment of the sport.
