NFL Coach Marc Trestman is a PCA National Advisory Board Member. Trestman has 28 years of coaching experience in the NFL, Canadian Football League and collegiately. He is also the author of Perseverance: Life Lessons on Leadership and Teamwork.

Taken from an interview prepared exclusively for PCA, this clip shows Trestman advising coaches to find their purpose for what they’re doing. He says that if your heart believes in a cause, that’s more powerful than just acting or filling a role. Coaches who connect what they’re doing with a greater mission will be more driven and better leaders of youth.
