Let Your Children Choose Which Sports To Pursue

Oliver Luck is the NCAA's Executive Vice President of Regulatory Affairs. Prior to this position, Luck was the Athletic Director at West Virginia University. He was an NFL quarterback and is the father of Indianapolis Colts’ quarterback, Andrew Luck.

In this clip, Luck advises parents to let their children choose which sports to pursue. Ultimately, kids will gravitate toward a sport they enjoy, and that enjoyment will keep them trying hard and striving to improve. Ultimately, those character traits learned through sport often translate to endeavors outside of sports. The child's desire to play certain sports comes from within, not from a parent's desire for a child to play one sport over another.
