Joe Dumars is a former NBA Executive and All-Star player for the Detroit Pistons. The NBA Sportsmanship Award is named the Joe Dumars Trophy, and in 2006 he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
Parents can start off wanting more for their kids than they want for themselves. But at some point, the kids have to want it and put in the work in order to make more for themselves. Your own desires won’t get them there on their own.

But at some point, that has to change. You can’t get him there by you simply wanting more for him or her than they want for themselves.
