Jerry York Talks about Using Sports to Build Character

Jerry York is the men's ice hockey coach at Boston College. York is the winningest active coach in NCAA hockey, and is the only Division I head coach with over 1,000 wins. He has won the NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey title five times as a coach and has received the Spencer Penrose Trophy. He was elected into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2019.

Jerry York encourages people to look beyond winning and use sports to build character. He shares the resiliency he learned after being cut from his high school hockey team. He emphasizes the importance for coaches to build character not just sport specific skills.
