After his playing career in Major League Baseball, Jerry Manuel managed the Chicago White Sox and New York Mets. He currently runs the Jerry Manuel Foundation, which is a PCA Partner in the Sacramento Area, and he leads Major League Baseball's diversity efforts.

In this video, Manuel reminds coaches of the influence they have in players' lives and a coach's role in shaping the next generation. He focuses on making sports fun for players and teaching life lessons through sports. He also quips, "Rules without relationships equals rebellion,""a mantra he uses to reinforce the importance of coaches establishing trust with their players.
