Being a first-time coach in any sport can be a daunting challenge. USA Volleyball has compiled a large and comprehensive section of their website dedicated to resources for new volleyball coaches.
While there is a wealth of information from videos to webinars to lesson plans to books, posters, blogs and other resources, USA Volleyball is quick to remind us that youth athletes "don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care."
A great first place to start on the site is "Top Ten Things I must Have as a Coach," by USA Volleyball's John Kessel.
